While on a road trip with my daughter, we stopped off in New Orleans. There was a lot of really cool art and music in the city. The culture there is very alive and vibrant. I enjoyed walking around with my camera photographing different buildings in the Bywater, Coffee shops in the French Quarter and Tombstones in the Garden District’s cemeteries.

I find photography just as powerful of an artistic expression as I do my Encaustics. Some of my inspiration for new Encaustics pieces come from my photography work. Here are a few images I took during that time in New Orleans.
